1. Service Agreement

These terms govern the provision of waste removal services by Borders Waste Solutions Ltd. By booking our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are based on information provided by the customer (photos, descriptions, site visits). Final pricing may be adjusted if the actual volume of waste differs significantly from the estimate. We will inform you of any price changes before proceeding.

3. Cancellation Terms

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice are free of charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover scheduling costs. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to adverse weather, vehicle breakdown, or other circumstances beyond our control.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about the waste to be removed
• Ensuring we have safe access to the property
• Identifying any hazardous materials (asbestos, chemicals, etc.)
• Obtaining necessary permissions from landlords or property owners
• Ensuring payment is made as agreed

5. Liability Limits

We carry public liability insurance and take care to avoid damage to property. However, our liability is limited to the value of the service provided. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, damage caused by inherent defects in the property, or damage resulting from following customer instructions.

6. Waste Transfer Notes

We will provide Waste Transfer Notes as legal documentation of proper disposal. You must retain these for a minimum of 2 years as required by the Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is typically due on completion of work unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major debit/credit cards. For larger jobs, we may request a deposit to secure the booking.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
